After identifying cooling systems, Armes recommended an air conditioning solution: a double musketeer-shaped cooling unit with two 120-cm (55-inch) cooling heads positioned one behind the other and linking through a porous floorplate and partition. This system was identical in size to the tank that held water; only the water could be reused rather than drained to the environment.
To cool the stored tanks and tanks attached to the side walls, Armes designed a ceramic block with convection inside of it. The block was filled with cooler material, ranging from pure CO 2 to synthetic ice.
